HARARE Metropolitan Province says it is ready to host the upcoming COMESA Heads of State and Government Summit, with intensified efforts to transform the capital into a clean and welcoming city ahead of the regional gathering. The province has in recent weeks stepped up Operation Chenesa Harare, with authorities saying all systems are in place to ensure the city reflects the aspirations of Vision 2030 and provides a positive experience for visiting Heads of State and delegates. Harare Metropolitan Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Senator Charles Tawengwa, said authorities were leaving no stone unturned in preparations for the summit. “We are ready and raring to go. The road networks are being maintained and public spaces are being spruced up, from the airport, hotels and the main venue, the Parliament Building, as well as other venues,” he said. ReadMore
